Make a Subject Access Request (SAR)

You have the right to request a copy of the personal information Noggin HQ holds about you. This is called a Subject Access Request (SAR).

Making a Subject Access Request (SAR) gives you access to the personal information we hold about you, who we've shared your personal information with, how long we keep your data for, the purposes for processing your data, and information about data sources we collect and any relevant automated decision-making that takes place with your data. We will also share more information about your data rights.

Making a SAR will not affect your credit score or any credit decisions. We will aim to respond within one month of receiving your request. It is free to make your request.

To make SAR, please complete the form below (or contact us by email: support@nogginhq.co.uk).

How does a Subject Access Request differ from a Statutory Credit Report?

A Subject Access Request (SAR) gives you access to the information that Noggin HQ holds about you. A Statutory Credit Report gives you access to the information that Noggin HQ has shared with lenders about you.

If you make a SAR, we will share the personal data we hold about you, including any credit scores or indicators we’ve generated. While we may use Open Banking data to create these insights, we don’t often retain or share full bank transaction histories.

What is a Subject Access Request?

A Subject Access Request (SAR) gives you access to the information that Noggin HQ holds about you. It is your legal right under UK GDPR (Article 15) and the  Data Protection Act 2018 to see the personal data an organisation holds about you. It lets you find out what information is stored, why it’s being used, and who it has been shared with.

How long will it take to process a Subject Access Request?

We are obligated by law to respond within one month and provide a copy of your personal data, explain how it’s being used, and disclose any third parties it has been shared with.

You generally do not have to pay a fee, although a reasonable charge can apply for excessive or repetitive requests.

If your request is refused or not properly handled, you can contact the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), to challenge the decision.
